10:15. The Station is packed. Muggles storm about to continue their insignificant lives. Platform 9 3/4. Between platforms nine and ten? Makes sense if one thinks about it...four large pillars separate the two platforms. So, the third pillar must be the portal. Logic, if it works, if a wondrous thing.
The air went from humid to cold. Then, it was hot again. Looking behind me, I noticed the wall was solid. Well, Diagon Alley had desensitized me to the whole "magic" thing anyway. This platform was also full of people, but I knew they were wizards and witches; my new family. They were an odd bunch, this was obvious. Still, the air around here was far nicer than in the muggle world.
I loaded my trunk onto the train. Thankfully, there was an empty compartment. I wouldn't have to be the awkward new kid. Looking at my watch, i found i still had another half hour before the train would leave.

10:17 A.M. My mom showed me how to get to the train that goes to Hogwarts by using the third pillar after station 9, because there are four pillars and that is the ¾ mark between 9 and 10 so my mom says. While going through the invisible gate to the Hogwarts Train, I experienced a large temperature fluctuation and a sense of foreboding, but I did not think much of it. The air on the other side was much more enjoyable to breath than the air on the side of the gate I previously came through. Once on the other side my mom says: she is no longer up to the task of taking care of me so for summer Vacations I am to go live with my favorite grandmother who also happens to be one of the stronger Witches in the U.K. That being said my mom turns around and leaves. Meanwhile I turn towards the train thinking why my mom had to say that, and I then get on the train with my pet and only friend Zinthara following behind for she was too large to keep in a cage and still be able to carry it. Although I am certain to keep an eye on her to make certain she does not go for anyone else’s pet though I doubt she will because she likes fish better than any land or air creature. Most of the compartments were full I noticed, as I was walking towards the end of the train. Although I looked I could not find any empty ones so I ended up on the third car from the end, and decided to knock on the door of a single occupant compartment and ask If I could join him in that compartment…

10:23. I wished my mother my adieus and headed for the portal 9 ¾'s. My father would think this would be preposterous and impossible (being a muggle) and all but just going through the portal, I have proven him wrong. I only wish he was there to watch me go through it but he doesn't want much to do with me being a witch. I am not saying he does not love me, I am saying he doesn't like the fact that I was born half-witch. I look around and take in my surroundings and potential new friends. Micky does a quick chirp of happiness and a little bit of nervousness. I pat her on her on the head and whispered to her for reassurance. She falls back to sleep in a more relaxed state. I know this will be a fun new experience. I climb aboard the train and to find a place to sit and wait for the train to leave to my new home, Hogwarts.

I heard the knocking on the door, and turned to see a shadow through the tinted glass. I opened the door, then sat back down in my spot. He asked if he could join me. At First i thought of refusing, wanting my privacy. But if i were to constantly shoo people away, I would end up lonely.
"Sure thing. Names Marcus by the way. Yourself?"

"My name is Really long so just call me Zan. I hope you don't mind if I just sit and think, and I hope you don't mind cats..." I say this as I move towards the seat opposite Marcus.

I look over at the cat...thing. It has the features of a cat, but none that I had ever seen.
"It doesn't bite, does it?"

"No. Unless you plan on being an unsavory person or you are not Who you say you are, she won't Bite or hurt you in any way." I say as Zinthara jumps up onto the seat and proceeds to curl up half-way onto my lap.

Riiight. Well...to Hogwarts then. You ever been?"

"No. I did not even know it existed before I got my letter." While staring out the window.

You lived with muggles as well then? This came as a complete shock to me. Just glad I'm smart enough to figure everything out for myself.

"Technically, Yes. Although I thought My mom was a muggle too Until she showed me how to get to Diagon Ally, I then learned that she was a Squib, and my Grandmother was one of the more powerful Witches. Goes to show you don't know much even about your own family..." Still staring out the window.

I guess...to be fair, I don't think anyone knows who their family is.

"...True..."

I look furiously for a place to sit. Micky is getting frustrated with all this commotion. I walk up and down the train and see all but one compartment is completely full. I look in and I see this huge cat. Curious, I knock on the door.

I jump a little as I hear a knock on the door, disturbing Zinthara.

Since Zan doesn't seem likely to get the door on his own, I reach over an open it.
"Hey there. Um...welcome?

"Hello... Sorry, did I scare you? I am Maurana and this is Micky (-points to my barn owl-). We were admiring your cat while looking for looking a place to sit and there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to sit. May we join you guys?"

I looked over at Zan and shrugged.
"I don't mind."

Takes a step in. "Thanks. Where would you prefer I sit?"

"I could ask my cat Zinthara if she wants to move on to my lap completely, she doesn't like fur or feathers covering her food."

"Ok. Thanks." Waits for Zinthara to climb a little more on your lap. "I'm sorry, I know I introduced myself and Micky, but I don't think we've had a formal introduction. Like I said I am Maurana and this is Micky, what's your guys' names?"

"Just call me Zan and this is my cat Zinthara. His name is Marcus" As I point to each in turn.

Nice to meet you," I said formally. First impressions are always important after all.

"It's very nice to meet you guys." Sits down.

We all got jostled as the Train started moving. Waking Zinthara up momentarily, she only settled down again as the train moved into its cruising speed.
